“But I need to remind you that once you enter the closed training program, you will have no contact with the outside world for six months. Can you accept that?”
Geraldine gave a bitter smile.

After boxing up every couple of items and throwing them all out, she began packing her own belongings and shipping them to her place.

He rushed back, dumped his luggage aside, and ran into the kitchen before wrapping Geraldine tightly in his arms as she cooked.
His voice trembled with emotion, and his head rubbed against her soft hair.

He began taking them out one by one.

“Gerrie, you like Tom Ford perfume. I asked them to bring back a few extra bottles for you to choose from.
“This necklace isn’t sold locally. I thought you’d like it.”
The pile of gifts in front of her all served as proof that he had really gone abroad.
Geraldine didn’t dare think about how much effort Oliver had put into lying to her.
One necklace alone was worth millions. Did he truly not love her?

Oliver held her hands tightly, a little anxious. “You used to be so happy every time I gave you gifts. Are you feeling too unwell today?”

Oliver was about to respond when his phone rang.
He picked it up, glanced at it, and his expression hardened. The next second, he was already on his feet, ready to leave.
“Gerrie, let’s talk about the baby in two years. Something urgent came up at work. I need to deal with it.”
Before Geraldine could say anything, he leaned down, kissed her forehead, and left without looking back.
The villa door closed again. Outside, a car sped away.
Geraldine sat motionless on the couch, her heart in pieces.
He refused to have a child with her, yet he had one with another
woman.
He claimed there was an emergency at work, but in her peripheral vision earlier, she had seen the message. It was from a woman, and there was even a video of a child attached to the message.
